Interview
I was part of a brand new store. They had a sign proclaiming 'now hiring' outside, you entered the building and filled out applications on the spot. You were interviewed by either HR or one of the assistant managers. Then if they like you enough, you move on and are interviewed by the General Manager. I was offered a position on the spot. Then you have to come back and submit a drug test. I'm not sure how it works when the store is already up and running.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Menards (Owensboro, KY) in Mar 2013
Interview
I was rushed in to a cubical where i was asked a few standard interview questions but the focus was on when and how long I could work. I was called back by the HR person for a one on one interview with regular basic questions again and a focus on telling me about the company
