I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Met Office in May 2025
Interview
Gave the main questions in advance, but not an exhaustive list.
Included:
Tell us about yourself
Why does this role appeal to you?
Why do you want to work at the Met Office?
And then the other questions related directly to the essential criteria on the job advert.
No feedback after sift or interview, which was odd. Typically in the civil service you would receive a score, not the case here.

Interview
The interview process was poor at most, the salary was well under paid for the skills and weekend shifts they ask for. Company comes across like its being run by a boomer generation which still thinks people should be grateful for a job. I'm not sure how the company expects to fill in these roles.

Interview
Long application but quite simple to get through due to their essential criteria. Just follow these and you'll be sorted. After initially being rejected I was invited for an interview. Panel of 4 and 10 min presentation. Some tricky questions but ultimately an enjoyable experience with lovely staff.
