I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in Sept 2016
Interview
Applied online and a recruiter got in touch about a week later. 2 weeks after that was a phone screen with a few easy enough coding questions and some lanuage-specific (Objective-C) questions. About a month later I interviewed on-site at the New York office. The on-site interview consisted of four hour-ish sessions: a design session, two whiteboard coding, and one that was half personality-type questions and half coding (I didn't have enough time to finish the coding portion of the last one, but the interviewer told me before we started that I probably wouldn't, so I was grateful for that). Everyone I met was super nice and helpful when I got a bit stuck on things.

Question 1
NDA. But know trees, graphs (at least cursorily), the simpler data structures like arrays and dictionaries, Objective-C trivia like memory management and property types, and of course be prepared to talk about running times of your code. I would also recommend talking through your ideas for solutions before starting to code.
Three sections of Interview round.
First round Behavioral questions .
Second round Data Structures .
Discussions at the end. The questions were related to data structures and algorithms. Online interview

It was just as they described except that the interviewers came with their biased personality. I hate, hate, hate interviewing for meta. Always arrogant and I think ageist. When you think of tech bros, this is it. I will never bother with them again.

Question 1
write a method to detect where in the coordinate space you are and validate some requirements. Super easy stuff but having an intuition that answers the question immediately is not what they want.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in Aug 2025
Interview
Met with recruiter. Went over process. Didn't seem to be a good fit for the particular role. Said I would hear back for a position that would be more fitting and then never heard back again.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about personal contributions to projects, and specifically contributions that helped deliver solutions at scale.
