I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Meta (Berlin) in Feb 2022
Interview
There are different stages of interviews. Recruiter, your potential manager, team members, or other managers you would be working with, and a task to complete (the brief). With the brief you need to show your strengths, prepare ideas and answer "jury" questions.

Question 1
Questions are related to you as a person and to your experience. There could be a question - did you remember when you had to make a difficult decision, or were you wrong? You need to answer with examples and your own experience.
Screening call with recruiter
Call with hiring manager
"Hack" (assignment with presentation, feedback, then response/build on feedback)
"Loop" (separate interviews with 4-5 more people on the team.
The entire process took about 4-6 weeks. This was back in 2018; I believe the process has been streamlined since then.

Question 1
The hack assignment was a fake brand/assignment of my choosing that I then had to develop a performance marketing plan against. I'm sure it's evolved since then with a major focus on AI, AI-led insights, and creative automation.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Meta in Aug 2025
Interview
The technical interview was pretty laid-back and easy. My interviewer was just trying to get a gauge of my experience and areas of expertise. Unfortunately, my interviewer was about seven minutes late and had a hard stop. It was extremely unprofessional of them and I was not able to use the full 30 minutes I should've been allotted.

Question 1
What is the most innovate project you have recently worked on?
I got interviewed with a recruiter on a 15-minute phone call. In that session, I felt like we had a good connection, and he made me feel comfortable. But in the end, they did not share any feedback with me about why they didn't want to proceed with me.
