I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Micron Technology in Feb 2011
Interview
The hiring process was very transparent and open. There was one HR interview and five to six technical interviews on ONE day. They judge basic device fundamentals along with some practical industry problems one may face being a process integration engineer. They asked some state of the art integration issues being faced in Advanced CMOS process Integration. Also gave some good overview of the whole group what it does and which other group it caters.
The interview experience was quite disorganized. The interviewer I met was different from the one indicated in the email, which was confusing. There was also a long waiting time both before and after the interview.
When I asked about the interview process, I did not receive a clear explanation. It eventually turned into two rounds conducted on the same day without prior notice. Overall, the lack of communication and structure gave the impression that candidates’ time was not well respected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about my understanding of a few department in PI
The interview process was quite straightforward and not very technical. Most of the questions were based on my resume and past project experience. The interviewer focused on understanding what I have done, how I approached problems, and what I learned. There were also some basic questions about my interest in the semiconductor industry and the role.
From my experience interviewing with Micron Technology, the interview process was very efficient and well organized. The recruitment team responded quickly at each stage and scheduled interviews promptly. Communication was clear throughout the process, and feedback was provided in a timely manner, making the overall experience smooth and professional.
