I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at MongoDB in Sept 2020
Interview
Relatively simple process after a referral:
Recruiter 1:1
Peer 1:1
Culture Interview
Manager 1:1
Presentation with 3 team members, including director
Had a great time chatting with everyone and appreciated the in-interview feedback. I was incredibly let down after all the work I put in that I had to follow up with the recruiter multiple times over email for and update after the final round, only to receive a quick blanket rejection email. A call would have been appropriate after the time I put into the role and left me with a negative perspective on MongoDB after a generally great process.
To the hiring team - please give candidates the respect they deserve after deciding to go a different direction!

General 'elevator pitch' at the beginning of most interviews
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MongoDB
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me back in October. Had various interviews and was a very start/stop process. Original recruiter was fired, one of the team members I interviewed with left the company. No one would explain why or what happened with them. Company would go on hiring freeze and week later, no more freeze. Red flags everywhere. Final round was a presentation round which is a lot of effort for an interview process. They expect you to know their product inside/out during the presentation when this is only an interview. Overall, declined offer as the interview process is indicative of the company and believe I dodged a bullet.
I applied online. I interviewed at MongoDB (Frankfurt am Main)
Interview
Company makes very positive impression and two people I had a pleasure to speak with were highly professional. After speaking with recruiter and team leader unfortunately I never received any feedback about next stage or disqualification, lack of communication at that stage was a bit disappointing.

Question 1
asked mostly about skills and experience, language skills
Process was thorough and organized, there is an interviewee portal used that details where you are in the process, who you've met with, who you're going to meet with, and any reference materials needed to complete each step. Communication was reliable throughout the process.
