The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MongoDB (New York, NY)
Interview
1. Phone Screen with a recruiter.
2. Karat Interview
3. Final Round Interview
- 3 back-to-back interviews. The first two are technical, and the final interview is behavioural
It was a very good and quick interview process. The recruiting team was very accommodating with my deadlines, even when I needed to change my interview times.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the phone screen they asked questions like
What do you know about MongoDB, and describe the difference between a SQL and No-SQL database.
Not bad, there were four technical interview rounds where each round they asked a question regarding coding and explaining my answer. But it was mostly just coding and algorithm and system design questions.
I applied through university. I interviewed at MongoDB (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Jan 2026
Interview
Total 5 rounds highly tiring. First round is phone screen followed by a karat technical round(DSA + CS fundamentals). Then 2 technical rounds about projects, previous experience + more DSA. Finally last HR round.
