I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MongoDB (Sydney) in Mar 2024
Interview
Approached by TA, continuously encouraged me to apply for the role. As i am in 1 of few in Australia who are best selling and highest rated Instructor in Online course development.
Had a call with Hiring manager, really enjoyed the conversation. He took notes from my conversation like my strategies and work ethics when it comes to create LMS based courses. The JD required the candidate to know 1 language, Python, Go, Java or scala. I knew Python and also R. Hiring manager asked about my availability and when i can join. It was really positive vibe. Got a call from TA 2 weeks later that not successful because you know Python and R we want someone who knows other than R. So basically i was told knowing R is no good. No actual feedback.
Reflection:
I felt and realized that the Hiring management just wanted to brainstorm different ideas with professional without hiring or paying them.
