I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Morningstar (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2011
Interview
First spoke to HR Recruiter 1:1. Asked the usual fit questions, pored through my resume.
Then spoke to two analyst (group interview). Also pored through my resume. Asked me about my stock portfolio. Extensive discussion about stock choices, the markets, equity questions related to growth, comparisons, etc. I found this very fun. If you are vying for an equity position and you don't own equity, you will be so screwed.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Morningstar (Amsterdam) in Oct 2024
Interview
Home assessment was 2 hours test with four different sections. Not the easiest for somebody who has not been in the sector for a while. Furthermore they made a mistake and interviewed me for the wrong (more junior) position. I heard nothing untill I reached out again. They told me they would contact me the Monday after but that day never came. After two weeks I got a standard email saying my application would not go further. Very disappointing, lots of time wasted on them. To make things worse, I decided to subscribe for their equity research service. Well I ended up learning they have serious interface problems on the webpages which makes the service unaccessible. Speechless I tried many times again but I only learnt others had the same problem. I unsubscribed from the service.
