Review for Main Campus!
I was initially contacted after a graduate school job fair where I left my resume and was briefly interviewed in Spanish. A week after, I was contacted to complete an interview screening. At this 1st interview, I was asked about my experience, skills, and why I was interested in a hospital setting. Before the interview finished, I was told immediately that a supervisor will be contacting me for a position at an outpatient clinic. A week later, I had my 2nd interview with who would be my SW supervisor. Again, we discussed my experience, skills, and interests. I was more informed about the teams and clinic setting. I was also then interviewed in Spanish by another worker. I was told that I will be sent an email with availability of the next person who needed to interview me. I received the email and scheduled the interview for the following week. At this 3rd interview, I was informed more about the position as this person was the director of the program within the clinic. I was supposed to meet with the medical director of the clinic, however, they were unavailable. Finally, that same week, I was scheduled to meet with the Director of the SW Department who asked me about my experience, interests, went over logistics, benefits, etc of the SW Department. The Director had the final decision to make the offer. So, now at my 4th interview for this position, I was finally offered the job for the position. I accepted it in that moment.
Everyone I interviewed with was very nice and welcoming. All interviews were one on one. This process took about 3 weeks during the month of May - when they do heavy hiring due to new graduates! However, the start date was not until the end of the following month.
Don't stress not having a LMSW! They will provide all the documentation for a permit until you take the exam.
