I was contacted by a recruiter and we scheduled an interview that lasted about 30 minutes. The recruiter walked me through the role in detail, including compensation, and asked standard questions like "tell me about yourself." Overall the conversation itself was smooth and informative. He was clear about next steps, who I'd be speaking with after this round, and gave me a timeframe for when I'd hear back.
Unfortunately, that timeline didn't hold. I didn't hear anything by the date given, so I followed up twice, with weeks of silence in between each attempt. On my third follow up, I finally got a response, but it was vague ("still in process," no real update), and at that point I could tell where things were headed. About three weeks later, I received a rejection email.
The initial interview was professional and well organized, but the post-interview communication left a lot to be desired. If you're going through their process, be prepared to advocate for yourself and follow up. Don't expect proactive updates.
