Mia, the recruiter at Nomad Financials lied to me and when I confronted her, she lied again. Nomad gives candidates a take home test which contains questions related to general accounting and quickbooks. Once I submitted the exam Mia called me back and told me I got a 60 and that I didn't know basic CPA questions. I asked her to tell me which questions I got wrong and what the correct answers was to which Mia replied that it's a proprietary exam and she cannot share the correct answers. First lie, quickbooks is not on the CPA exam and second lie is that when you copy and paste the Nomad Financial exam into google you find that the exam actually belongs to a textbook company. btw I'm a newly minted CPA and I still have all my material, so I definitely double checked the CPA questions. Point is that this exam was used to low ball me on salary and really talk me down into accepting less than what I was asking. There is no point in complaining to Nomad because I spoke with 2 former employees of theirs and both told me that it's not only common but encouraged to low ball employees. Great company policy Nomad Financial.
