Opera Software Project Manager interview questions

Shockingly unprofessional and lacking core decision-making skills. All in all a terrible process and a waste of time. Be it, unresponsive HR or clarity on the process. It is easy to see all the red flags right from the get-go too. Starting from the beginning, I applied for a Product Manager role, I went through 5 rounds and about 8 hours in total in the following order. - Old Product manager - Team Manager - EVP - Tech Lead and Other Product Manager of my future team - CEO All of them approved me as a candidate, at this stage I was given the offer to the job, which I accepted. But an accepted offer again goes through another internal process of it being approved by the chairman. Which he also approved. All set right? Nope! I was repeatedly asked to join early (Same week or next month) by the EVP and was asked for me to talk about this with my current employer if there was a way to cut short my notice period, knowing very well its 3 months, all happening before signing the contract. At this stage, they asked for my references, which they got 5 of. HR explained, the process is only done when they have spoken to my old manager, has to be manager. The HR was adamant to speak to my old manager (CEO of the old company I worked at) who I couldn't get hold of, I gave their contact info assuming they might have better luck in reaching said manager. No answer to my email or phone, and then just like that poof! The offer was pulled, no reason, no explanation, no nothing. The HR even told me the EVP would get back to me explaining their decision, which he didn't. Can't imagine such unprofessional handling of a candidate in a worse way. Avoid this company, there are better ones that respect your candidature and are way more sure of their decisions, candidates, and products, this saved me a lot of future heartaches. Never seen an offer pulled despite the CEO of the company approved the candidate, imagine that!
