Interview
It was pretty straightforward
A writing test followed by an interview.
The writing test covers understanding/use of English for technical writing, and technical writing structure.
The interview had three parts - getting to know you and the company, scenario and technical understanding.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Optiva (Pune) in Nov 2009
Interview
The interview was with the documentation manager and a TW from the team. It started off with a brief discussion of my employment history. The question that perplexed me was 'explain one process/task from a user manual that you have worked on". Also, you need to know how to use tools, since most of the questions were related to functionality of authoring tools like Adobe RoboHelp and FrameMaker.
