Question 1
Tell me about a time that you encountered a problem and how did you manage it.
Great process, great team. Very professional and great conversations. Really enjoyed everyone I met at Ovia and am happy to be here! The recruiter did a great job keeping me up to date on the process, and next steps, and scheduling was very easy.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ovia Health
Interview
First it starts with a phone call with HR and he gives you a good run down about what to expect in the whole process. There is a design challenge that's for their actual product, which is a big red flag because they can totally use your ideas and not hire you. I made it to the final round and met with a variety of people. I honestly felt like the interview went really well with everyone, so I was expecting an offer. In the end, they didn't give me an offer because I wasn't "empathetic"enough. I was so confused because I've never heard that kind of feedback before and they couldn't elaborate what they meant. I mentioned to them that I was currently using their fertility app so I was part of their user base... I don't understand how you could get more empathetic than that. I steer clear now from a company that wants me to do a design challenge, especially on their own product, because it's just an indicator that they don't know what they're looking for or how to hire a designer. They can't tell by looking at your portfolio, which should be enough to tell them what you're capable of. Otherwise, why have a portfolio?
