I applied in-person. I interviewed at PAE (Independence, MO) in Jan 2019
Interview
Briefly meeting at a hotel, offer was extended on the spot. Staff was pleasant at hotel, but failed to answer simple questions regarding duties of the position. They didn’t ask me anything regarding my interest, experience, or abilities. Three days later there was drug tests. Then came the security clearance. I have done these before for teaching and working in the finance industry. This was very invasive for a low level position. They asked me about my child’s SSN and my husband’s SSN. Other odd things included requiring multiple sources to verify a period of unemployment. They also couldn’t understand attending college after graduation dates. Finally, their system froze multiple times while imputing answers. It was like the first roll out of Obama care. As a former recruiter, I was disappointed with the interview process. I understand security clearance protocols might have changed, but I suggest going elsewhere for a clerical position, it was a bit much for 12 an hour.
