I applied online and the hiring manager reached out to me and setup a call with a recruiter.
It was a very strange 30-min call as the recruiter spent the whole call on finding proof (probably to show to somebody) that I'm not a good fit for the role. If they didn't find my background a good match, I wonder why they'd want to proceed in the first place and waste both our time. Another unprofessional thing was that the recruiter said he'd get back to me within a week with an update, but he never did.
