      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Penguin Random House in Jul 2022

      Interview

Basic HR questions, but I chose to withdraw my application before continuing on past the initial round because the pay was quite low ($50,000, with room for overtime) HR interviewer was very kind and transparent about everything that they knew on their side.

      Interview

The first step was an HR interview that was fairly straightforward, after that I was set up to have an interview with members of the creative team a week later. The interview with the creative team was an 45 min- 1 hour long, and they talked to me about what they liked in my portfolio, details of the job, and I asked them questions about their background and how they started working with the company. I was told that the next step was that Creative Directors would be reviewing to make the final decision. This was an interview with the Avery TarcherPerigree division.
