      Account Manager Interview

      5 Mar 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Percolate (New York, NY)

      Interview

The process took about 2 weeks. I had a phone screening, then a second phone call from a different recruiter, then they brought me in for an in person interview. I was told the interview would be with several people, but it ended up only being one and it started a little late. The interview only lasted 15 minutes. It was disappointing and the process seemed disorganized. The other people I was supposed to meet were too busy. The company itself seemed like it would be nice to work at, but after going through the interview process I changed my mind.

      Question 1

The questions weren't difficult - they were asking specific questions about what I did at my previous job.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Percolate

      Interview

Maybe the most unprofessional interview I've ever been on in my career. Person interviewing me was clearly unprepared and disinterested, which lead to us abruptly cutting the interview short. This after a couple of fairly in depth phone interviews that had me feeling good about the company and the position for which I was applying.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Percolate

      Interview

I applied online and got a call a few days later from the recruiter. He scheduled a phone interview with me for a few days later with a VP...he then cancelled it. Then emailed me to come in a few days later to skip right to the in person interview. Then the day before, he cancelled it and wanted me to do a phone interview with someone else. Once that happened I received another templatized, mundane email to come in for an interview. Then I met with two AEs and a current AM. Then suddenly the VP was no where to be found and they had me stay 25 minutes to try and see if he'd be coming back soon. Then on a Saturday I received another templatized inpersonal email saying they chose to move forward with another candidate. The product seemed cool and innovative, the people were nice but seemed a bit cocky even though they had only been there for a month. They seem very all over the place and disorganized right off the bat, which is something I definitely would not want to be a part of.
