      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2010

      Interview

All applications must be submitted online, but I also drove to the physical store location I was interested in and dropped off a resume and cover letter for a manager. Whether this was related or not, I received a call the next day asking when I could interview. I scheduled a time for the following afternoon. The interview was casual and friendly, and I was asked several hypothetical questions about how I would respond in certain situations, such as if a customer asked for a product I was unfamiliar with, or behaved strangely, etc. They also asked me what I felt my biggest flaw as an employee would be, so be prepared with something clever, like "I'm a perfectionist." Overall, very laid back and brief, though. I felt like they were mostly interested in a smile and a good personality.

      Interview

I applied online one night, and then the next morning got a call from the store asking to come for an interview the next day. The interview was about 45 minutes long. It was actually more intense than I thought, it was just non-stop questions for the entire time I was there. Nothing too scary though. Most of the questions asked were scenario questions such as "If ____ happened, how would you deal with it?" "What would you do is a customer _____?" And a few other basic interview questions such as, "tell me about yourself" etc. I did have a few questions I wasn't able to answer that well but I was still offered the job 2 days later.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PetSmart in Jan 2015

      Interview

I applied for a cashier position online and got an email saying I passed the pre-screening assessment right after. About two weeks later I got a call asking if I was still interested in the job and if I could come in for an interview. I scheduled an interview for a few days later. The interview was in the managers office and pretty stress free. The manager was very nice and understanding and she was very excited when I told her I previously volunteered at the humane society to help with the animals. I was asked simple general questions, like what I did at my previous jobs, and what I liked the most and least about them. I was asked if I was interested in working any other positions as well, and since I had previous stocking experience I said that was an option. After having a short conversation about what I'd be doing I was told I would get a call in the next few days. The store manager then went and got the stocking manager who came and told with me very brief about more of what Id be doing. He again told me Id be getting a call. Four days later I got a call around noon where I was offered the job and asked to come get a form and go take a drug test (urine test). Two days later I got a call saying I was hired and to come in to set up a schedule and get my uniform. They do a great job at working around college schedules and seem to really care about their employees. Overall It was a very simple process.
