I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart (Monroeville, PA) in Oct 2017
Interview
I came in and talked to the store manager after having to wait briefly. He gave me a tour of the store and explained their open positions. He was a cool guy, but my schedule just didn't work out. I was looking for a side gig, and the only position that would give me valuable hours was the animal caretaker. I am not a fan of snakes so I had to decline. He did offer me a cashier position on the spot, but the only hours that I would have been able to work wouldn't have been worth my time. Not that it mattered for me but he did mention that you have to pass a drug test to become a cashier.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at PetSmart (Winnipeg, MB)
Interview
I got a call from the store manager two days after I applied to schedule an interview. Then I had the interview with 2 team members and a background check after.
Good interview. Ask a lot of good very insightful questions. Cares about who they were talking to. Would recommend talking with this company. Was not hard at all. Just be prepared.
The PetSmart interview process typically includes an online application, a phone screening, and one or two in-person interviews. Candidates are asked about availability, customer service experience, and pet knowledge. The environment is casual and friendly, emphasizing team fit.
