Dear Candidate, sorry to hear that you had a negative experience interviewing with our team and thank you for taking the time to submit your review. Over the past few months, we have reviewed our hiring practices and have made them more candidate friendly.
Our response to specific statements in your review:
• “The company expects interview candidates to know about their tech stack, what the company does.” We appreciate that the best talent would have many options or alternative roles that they are interviewing for. Hence to save both yourself and us time, we want to make sure you have a good understanding of the technical stack you are going to work with. We are more than happy to then address any concerns that you have about your current experience and the requirements for the role. Hence, we share the technical stack that Portcast operates with in a pre-reading material ahead of the interview.
• “They also expect you to work overtime and to respond to messages after the work time.” Such instances can happen only once in a blue moon (as it might happen at any firm in general) and are definitely not the norm here at Portcast.
• “They don't get people in Singapore to work as per their expectations. So they simply try hiring from India to get overtime work for free from Indians.”: There is simply no truth or basis to this assertion; which is why we request you to edit the review to reflect the same.
