Applied online. Got a recruiter phone call in the next week or so.
Explained about poshmark’s culture, team, product, etc.
Then she mentioned a technical interview 1 hr leetcode style followed up by a super day.
Went in to the technical interview. Very easy leetcode style question related to strings. Solved it asap and talked about some android and company culture cause we had a lot of time left.
Then what surprised me was the interviewer mentioned why did you code in Python??
There was no rule that one had to code in Kotlin. I told him if you’d mentioned earlier sure I would have but I just prefer python for DSA’s and stuffs. He mentioned going forward you’d be expected to code in Kotlin.
Got rejection couple of days later.
Honestly felt like a waste of time. Recruiter also became pretty much contactless and just shot some automated emails after the first call.
