I had to pass the Becoming a Proofreader and Become an Editor courses from Knowadays.com with a score of 80% or higher to qualify for a trial at Proofed. After that I was contacted a few weeks later from the onboarding team at Proofed.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Proofed in Nov 2020
Interview
I had a phone interview with one of the principals who explained the company and discussed upcoming opportunities. It was a very straightforward and professional conversation with a person who clearly knew what they were talking about.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Proofed (London, England) in May 2019
Interview
What given a questionnaire to fill out and this was followed by 2 online interview ,
I was told I was given the job only to get a email 2 days later stating that this was a mistake and that i had to complete another interview, I found this extremely unprofessional. Then after i completed a second interview i was told i would receive a email back about the outcome the within a week. I received no response back then months after when i asked for feedback i was rudely told i didn't get the job simply because i didn't reach out to see if i was successful.
Company showed poor communication and gave no revenant feedback to me following the interview as well as no sympathy to the situation.
Overall experience was shocking to say the least.
