      Account Executive Interview

      22 Feb 2021

      Ban Phone Savang
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Push the Envelope PR (Ban Phone Savang) in Feb 2021

      Interview

Would NOT recommend this company. Completely inconsiderate of other people's time. Got an email from someone from their team asking for an interview that same day, to which I made work with my schedule. Spent 30-45 minutes on the phone for the interview. After what seemed like a good conversation, they then asked that I complete a writing sample ASAP as they were trying to fill the position quickly, which I subsequently spent a full day working on and sent back within 48 hours of our initial conversation. Never heard back from them again despite following up TWICE asking for an update. I understand that employers are not always obligated to respond, but in this case, I was corresponding with a team member for a couple of days in addition to putting a lot of time and effort into their writing prompts, so I believe the least they could do was let me know where I stood in the hiring process. The interview itself was pretty standard, however, the lack of communication and consideration that followed at Push the Envelope PR was absolutely atrocious. Never have I ever dealt with a company quite so rude. If this is how they treat potential employees, I can only imagine how they treat their actual employees and clients. Run, don't walk.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We appreciate you letting us know about your personal experience with the agency’s interview process. Push the Envelope PR is transparent about their interview process and next steps which requires a preliminary 30 minute interview call and an opportunity to move onto a follow-up interview with another team member after the writing assignment has been completed. The writing assignment allows us to see your skills and experience, an opportunity to showcase your creativity, analytical skills and strategic thinking. As the agency interviews many candidates to ensure that the right team member joins the company, PTE PR does not follow-up with every single candidate to confirm if they are not moving on to the next round. However, any candidate who conducts follow-ups will always be addressed. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to info@Pushtheenvelopepr.com.

      Interview

Disrespectful and unprofessional - complete waste of time. Owner asks you to complete a set of interview questions prior to the meeting but does not actually care to listen to your thoughts. The interviewee would expect to present their ideas and actually be listened to - first impressions are everything and no one should want a boss like this. Also, the owner does not read your resume prior to scheduling interview.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We appreciate you letting us know about your past experience with the agency’s interview process. Push the Envelope PR is transparent in the interview process which requires a written assignment to showcase candidates’ creativity, strategic thinking and analytical skills. It’s an industry standard and a key component to the agency’s interview process. Each candidate's resumes have been vetted, otherwise, the company would not have scheduled the initial/preliminary interview. The interviewer is able to reference the resume and ask questions to learn more about one’s past and current experiences outlined on the candidate’s resume. This reference of the resume does not mean it was the first time the interviewer vetted the candidate’s resume. Push the Envelope PR vets, interviews and treats all potential candidates with professionalism and asks necessary questions to learn more about their future team members. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to info@Pushtheenvelopepr.com.
