I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Rakuten (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2023
Interview
Multiple rounds. First round talked about experience and what the company/role Second round went deeper into technical experience and also had a live coding challenge. Third round was a take home assignment. Second round interview was botched on their end twice - issue with zoom and wasted multiple hours of my time over two days before finally getting it right the third time. Submitted the take home and didn't hear anything for weeks, only be to told by a recruiter they've filled the role. Completely unprofessional to not even schedule the follow up to the take home after asking me to invest my time into it. Writing was on the wall with how the second round was handled. Totally disorganized and unprofessional.
