I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Randstad US in Feb 2021
Interview
Contacted by Randstad to interview for a contract position with one of their clients. Interviews were set up with little to no background on the interviewers or what the interviewers might be looking for (other staffing agencies provide this). I went through multiple client interviews (which is why the interview difficulty is Difficult).
Once the Randstad client made a decision, Randstad recruitment team used high pressure sales tactics to urge me to immediately accept the position (immediately = decide the same day I was notified the client was interested). Asked to confirm interest in the position before being sent a written offer letter (everywhere else I've worked, including with other staffing firms, I've received a written offer letter before making a decision). I felt like I was at a used car dealership buying a car.
There was also too much Randstad onboarding paperwork. Some of the paperwork was irrelevant to my position, but I still had to complete it. Due to Covid-19 restrictions I needed to find my own I-9 paperwork verifier and physically present my documentation to the verifier, even though oneof the best ways to stop the spread of Covid-19 is to avoid unnecessary contact with other people. I had to reach out to Randstad to get answers from them versus them being more proactive and reaching out to me with updates.
The Randstad recruiting experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I only accepted the position because the career opportunities with the Randstad client were too compelling to pass up. If I had a choice, I would choose not to work with Randstad again.

Their interview is process is very efficient, they ask you to record the interview to be shared by decision maker. Usually it’s a 2 rounds of interviews and they inform you with the results.
Initial interviews conducted by recruiter. The entire process was fairly quick and easy. They did ask some technical questions but they were standard questions and weren't difficult. Other questions were around expected salary etc
