Internal employee referred me and I was contacted by a recruiter a few days later to talk about the typical initial recruiter things (fit, compensation, etc.). I was then sent a technical assessment through HackerRank and told that depending on the results, I would either receive an additional technical phone screening or they would send me into a Red Hat office for a panel-style interview. They proceeded with the panel interview about 3 weeks after the online assessment and flew me out to a nearby office. The panel interview consisted of a 1 hour interview with more/less typical questions with an emphasis on problem solving and challenges. This is the part where you really get to shine and demonstrate to the interviewers that you understand the business and technical aspects of the position you're applying to and how those tie together. I didn't feel like I was getting grilled or asked stupid syntactical/reference-style questions which I would typically google in real life. The last part was a 20 minute presentation on a subject of your choosing and at the end, they'll do a QA session for about 10 minutes. I was notified about the results of the interview about a week later.
