I have been working at Red Hat full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's an amazing company to work in. I have just good words to say about the culture of the company, the people around, all the help you receive when you need it if you are lucky to be in the right department with the right management, if not... then be ready! Good salary according to the level and position you have, good benefits, very flexible people and always very helpful. You have access to an enormous amount of training sessions in all the areas and fields (if you are lucky and have time for it). Before the pandemic, in the office were organized a lot of happy hours breaks, snacks, also in sales department you had the chance to travel to different events during the year.

    Cons

Very demanding management in sales department who doesn't care about people but just numbers at the end of the quarter and who is promoted maybe twice a year thanks to titanic work which is done by the specialist under that management. The targets are ridiculously high made without any formulas or real facts from the dashboards (which are a mess!!!). If you don't cope with your targets for one quarter you'll be put on Employee Performance Review for the next quarter an if you don't hit the targets then you are fired in a very legal way (if you are in a good relationship with the manager, your targets are always achievable!!!).
