I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Red Robin Country Day School and Camp
Interview
I should note that this was several years ago, but from what I remember, it was a group interview with me and about 5-6 other people applying to be junior counselors (not sure how many were offered the position, but about half us ultimately became counselors together). The interview was with the camp directer, Michael, who was super nice and made sure everyone felt at ease. He spent a few minutes telling us about the camp, how things worked, the usually daily schedule, counselor training and salary, etc. He then gave each of us a notepad, asked us about 5-10 questions and had us write our answers. At the end, he asked if we had any questions (I couldn't think of any on the spot, but some others did and he was super willing to answer all of those). There were no trick questions; they seemed to genuinely just want to figure out who would be a good camp counselor.
I forget if this had to be done before or after the interview, but we also had to provide 3 references (I just used 3 of my teachers).
