I was initially contacted by a recruiter from Reddit. From there, the process included a short call with the recruiter, an interview with the hiring manager, a writing assignment, and then a day of interviews with the most relevant department heads and some of my potential peers. Everyone I spoke with was extremely kind and their questions seemed designed to get to know me as well as understand my work style / experience and my interest in Reddit. You also have a good amount of time to ask questions and get a sense of whether the role is the right fit for you. While I wouldn't call the interview process easy, it was smooth, relatively quick (a bit over a month) and they kept in great contact with me throughout. I always felt "in the loop" on their decision-making process.
