Was asked to complete a short task that consisted of multiple choice questions before my interview. Task went fine and the interview that followed was held via video call with someone from HR. The interview lasted around 30 minutes, pretty standard interview questions, nothing too difficult, and I was given time at the end to ask questions myself. So far, so good - what was very disappointing is what happened next though. I was given another task to complete, this one was more thorough and required me to do research and write a two-page report. I was given 48 hours to complete this task, during which I had to put my other duties aside as this was a tight time frame and I wanted to do a good job. I sent off the task after I completed it - and then I never heard back again (even after following up)! Quite disheartened as I put my valuable time into the process, and I would have appreciated a simple rejection or a response at least.
