To start, the initial interview was set up by what felt like a bot — there was no organic process with outreach from the "recruiter" over email. Even after responding to the first email, there was never any reply.
There apparently is two main teams, one in the US and one in India. For the role I was interviewing for, the manager is in India; it entirely inconvenient because they are only available BEFORE 9am PST —way too early to function, especially for an interview.
I decided to agree to interview for the first round because I was interested in the company... however, big mistake. They came entirely unprepared, they answered all of my questions disingenuously, their connection was spotty, and they ended up having to leave the interview and call in with their phone because they ended up completely disconnecting in the midst of it.
Not entirely sure why they don't set up US teams to interview people residing in the US. Basically got a bad vibe all around and I declined any future interviews.
