Several interviews progressing in depth and difficulty. First a screening with your AFCO then a career discussion interview which is basically to check you are somewhat prepared for the final interview at AIB

Initial set of tests, then interview then Assessment centre process. The process was a mix of physical and mental exercises as outlined on the navy website. It was a fair process in my experience

Due to coronavirus all interviews are now over the phone. The interview style is quite interrogative and can get quite personal but this is just to weed out those who aren’t serious from the rest.

Drawn out but simple process. Initial discussion at AFCO, followed by Recruit Test, (Verbal reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Mechanical Comprehension), Fitness Test, Interview and finally 2 day Pre joining Course at HMS Collingwood prior to 10 week basic training at HMS Raleigh.

Quick and easy before a lengthy security check. A full medical was required, as well as a periodic eye examination. After that I was ready to take my offer of 4 days training before heading to my basic training.
