My experience with SSP's interview process was highly frustrating and unprofessional. From the outset, communication lacked clarity, professionalism, and timeliness, which left me with a negative impression of the company’s hiring practices.
First, the Talent Acquisition team repeatedly reached out to schedule interviews, but they failed to confirm key details clearly. For example, despite arranging an interview time, they did not specify whether it would be a phone or video call until I explicitly asked. When the time for our scheduled discussion arrived, I received no call, no update, and no explanation—leaving me waiting without any communication.
This pattern continued throughout the process. Multiple attempts were made to reschedule the interview, and despite my flexibility and prompt responses, they either failed to reply or simply did not follow through. On one occasion, I confirmed my availability for a proposed time, but received no further response. Even on the day of the scheduled meeting, I was left without communication, leading me to wonder if the interview would take place at all.
In total, I experienced several rounds of poor communication, unanswered emails, and no-shows for scheduled meetings. This disorganized approach wasted my time and caused unnecessary stress.
I expected a higher level of professionalism from a company of SSP’s size, but unfortunately, their recruitment process did not reflect these standards. The lack of respect for candidates' time and effort is a red flag for anyone considering a role with them. Additional note: they are asking about your salary expectation but they do not give information about the salary of the role.
