I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in May 2017
Interview
I had the opportunity to have coffee with an RVP at Samsara before jumping into the interview process. He (and the company) made me feel comfortable and wanted. The standard process includes a phone conversation followed by an onsite interview with 4 hiring managers/directors.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you comfortable working in the fast-paced, ever changing environment of a start-up? How do you manage that?
I've never heard back from the company after a long recruiting process. I would have appreciated to have some feedback and response so I could move forward. Also not sure how it is appropriate to ask the sexual orientation to job applicants.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Samsara (Weehawken, NJ) in Jan 2024
Interview
Was honestly horrible. The guy I spoke to was not asking questions related to my background or how it relates to the position at Samsara. Lastly, told me he would like to pass me on and to expect an email back in a few days. Never heard from him again and even sent an email to follow up. Still nothing.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara in Dec 2023
Interview
The interview process from start to finish moved very quickly, and smoothly. The recruiting team, and interviewers were very willing to accommodate my schedule. I really appreciated this as it made carving out time for the interview very easy.
