Approached by a recruiter via phone after submitting resume online via LinkedIn. They then set up initial phone screening with hiring manager which will determine if you will be selected for an in person interview.
In person interview will consist of other application engineers and sales managers.
Application engineers seem to be the most engaging whereas sales managers asked very basic questions off of a piece of paper. One of the sales managers looked like she had been up for 5 days straight, overloaded on caffeine, which made the interview with her rather uncomfortable. The hiring manager was yawning during the final interview round and did not seem to care of how you responded (was checking clock every 5 minutes or so).
Interviews seemed to be like a formality and were doing it so they could hire an already selected preferred candidate for the position.
Mgr was ten minutes late for phone screen. Failed to apologize. Asked specific questions re: manufacturing companies who use products. Mgr could not offer any good examples. Cut phone screen short b/c had another meeting. Rec'd no feedback from recruiting team . Gut feeling was to run away at hyperspeed from any next steps. Very unprofessional experience. Company is growing very fast. Attempting to gain a foot hold in the Industry 4.0 space. Just may be a little late to the party. Overall, interview process was a joke! If one existed at all.
