Got an email from the hiring manager to schedule a video call. Then after the video call I got an email to schedule an in-person interview. I had to postpone it due to a death in the family, but they were understanding and still interviewed me. The interview lasted about 3 hours. I was surprised by the lack of females in their managing positions. The higher ups in the company that were in my group interview, about 8 of them, were all male. The interview went well. They stated some things that made me feel like they wouldn’t care if they needed me to work at 9pm sometimes (normal shift would be 8-5). I was offered the position at asking price, however, I had a hard time getting ahold of the hiring manager to discuss the offer. I decided in the end that it wasn’t the best fit for me. I am ok with occasionally working late, but how they made it sound, it might be a common occurrence. The lack of being able to get ahold of the hiring manager who called to offer the job also made me nervous about working under them. It shouldn’t take two full days to get back to me after I call back immediately. Perhaps he should have sent me an email.
