It was a strange experience for an interview that never took place. Six weeks after submitting my application, still had not heard back from them. But just when I thought that was the end of it, received an email from one of their HR people. It was a Monday and they asked for my availability that week for a phone screen. We decided on Thursday morning. I then spent time during the next few days to prepare. But Thursday came and 30 mins before the phone call, the HR person emailed and said s/he had something urgent and asked to postpone the interview to Monday. Naturally, I said yes. Monday came and 2 hours before the interview, the person emailed again, stating that they had filled the position internally and so I was out of the running before the interview start. Not sure what to think about the entire experience, and I am not particularly blaming the HR person, but it seems somewhere within the organization, the interview was not being taken seriously.
