      Software Engineer Interview

      14 Jan 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Seismic

      Interview

The interview process was fairly lengthy but felt quick overall, consisting of six (maybe 7?) rounds. It began with an HR screening, which was a general overview of my application. The second round was with the manager of the team I’d be joining, where we walked through my resume, discussed my projects, skills, past achievements, and future plans. The third interview was with the project manager and another software engineer, focusing primarily on behavioral questions. Next came a timed online coding assessment, which I can’t disclose much about. Following that was a more in-depth technical assessment involving whiteboard-style questions, where I was asked to explain my approach to a problem at both high and low levels. This was challenging but rewarding. The final round was a brief discussion with a senior technical manager.
