The experience I had interviewing with ShapeShift was very poor. After submitting my information I eventually received a cold-call from their recruiter who left a voicemail but would not return calls. After several months passed and I had forgotten about the opportunity the recruiter hurriedly scheduled an interview call with the department head. The call was held on a speaker phone making it difficult to hear and interact effectively. The interview questions seemed rather unrelated to the nature of the work. At the end of the call I was told to expect an update within 2 days, several days later the recruiter was unresponsive and never followed up. Shortly after they laid off several employees, leading me to believe the position was closed.
