Honestly such a great experience, my recruiter that helped me through this process was super quick with everything and made the process so smooth and easy! The speech pathologists were so nice and wanted to get to know me as a person which was great.
Initially, everything was great. Multiple interviews. Then two of the interviewers separately asked me to inform my references they would be calling them within a day or two. Then nothing. They never called my references. A week later, a very sterile email letting me know that they're going to keep the job open until they find the right person. Did I miss something? I emailed back a couple of times to learn what I could do better for future job opportunities and they completely ghosted me. My work history is flawless as are all my performance reviews. There is nothing negative about me online and I don't post anything online that I'd be uncomfortable with it being on a billboard. The interviews were demanding. They were friendly, but I've never had to do so much work to prepare for an interview in my life. They literally gave me homework between interviews. I didn't sleep - I just worked on this material and I knocked out of the park - but then they just acted like they didn't even know me. Seriously - look at all the jobs that they have open that are not teacher positions and do your research through Region 10 to see how long these jobs have been open. Sometimes up to a year. They do not know who or what they want. They'll hire teachers pretty quickly for obvious reasons, but for upper-tier positions, don't waste your time. They don't know what they want, but you're not it. Such indecisive leadership. It's mind-blowing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One thing they asked in every interview was "Why Sherman ISD?" Seriously? You have an open job and it's within driving distance of where I live.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sherman ISD (Sherman, TX) in May 2010
Interview
I was asked to do the interview, I went into the interview with a positive outlook on the possibility of receiving a job offer. I nailed the interview answering each question better than anybody possibly could. When the interview was over I asked when I was to start. They told be that the would be getting back with me, I figured this just to be a formality. However, I waited for the next couple of days with no correspondence. So, in an attempt to find out what the problem was, I decided to contact them, they let me know that I was not to be hired. Completely blindsided me.
