I interviewed in the core services or platform team They did not have zoom or google meet, no one from the recruiting team contacted me with the details of the interview At interview time, I was sent a link to a code collaboration tool and they said to use the video option in it The interviewer did not know much about modern tech stack but they wanted to move towards these and make new changes They wanted to hire developers to do that work, not devops engineers This person and some people in the tech industry are confused about their role in devops or platform or core etc. These are devops or ops teams but they are not qualified to do advance development so they hire developers to do this. I think this is akin to misleading interviewees
