There were five stages in the process: Recruiter Call, Coding Pair, Technical Deep Dive, System Design, and Cultural Interview.
I was genuinely excited about the opportunity and progressed to the Technical Deep Dive stage, but then received a rejection from a no-reply email address without any feedback.
What made this especially frustrating is that the interview itself did not feel as though it had gone badly. During the conversation, I got responses such as “that makes sense” throughout. If there were gaps in my answers, I would have expected the interviewer to probe further or challenge certain points, but that did not happen. It left me feeling that the outcome did not align with how the interview came across at the time.
I may be mistaken, but one possible explanation is that they felt I was overclaiming. If so, that could easily have been clarified by asking for more concrete evidence or examples during the interview.
Overall, the most disappointing part has been the complete lack of feedback despite the significant time and effort required to prepare for and complete multiple interview stages. I also made attempts to reach out to the team for feedback, but those efforts were unsuccessful. For a process of this length, not providing any feedback reflects poorly on the candidate experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You can expect a Graph type of question for the coding pair, but the good thing about this is that they are genuinely just assessing how you approach problems, etc.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Skyscanner (Edinburgh, Scotland)
Interview
The interview process mainly had these for stages -
1. Recruiter Screening
2. Depth of Expertise - screening
3. System Design
4. Behavioural round
The recruiter reached out after every round, and also provided feedback in the end.

For the depth of expertise round, I was asked to describe a project I did in the past, sort of a system design round but for a choice of my own project.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Skyscanner (Barcelona) in Jan 2023
