I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Melbourne) in Mar 2016
Interview
- 1st interview - phone screen with recruiter to determine right name/motivation/why Slack. Fairly easy
- 2nd interview - phone call with lead of team. 30minutes of two-way conversation, very easy and open conversation. He had to cut the interview short because he had another call.
- Case study of 3 scenarios of customer queries - 'writing exercise'. Rejection after submitting my answers. I was feeling relatively confident, but not entirely sure why I didn't make it especially establishing rapport with the lead in the interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack in Oct 2022
Interview
Tough interview despite the long tenure, we really did not get to the core of my personality or past success. Really liked the culture but turnoff was not understanding me as well.
