Hi - I'm really sorry that you found this email to be rude. I believe that it was this section that you objected to:
"If you wish to see a detailed breakdown of your results, and how your scores compare with other candidates, please visit this page: [snip]. NOTE: The standard of our applicants is in general exceedingly high so please view any comparisons in that light."
The intention of this phrase is to reassure candidates that the benchmark with which they are being compared is in fact a very high standard, and that an 'average' candidate for our developer roles is usually a very good candidate. Obviously this phrase didn't come across as reassuring in your case, for which I apologise. I'm going to move the offending sentence to the page where the test results are displayed, and add more context around it, in the hope of avoiding this problem in the future.
