I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SolarCity (Las Vegas, NV) in Jul 2015
Interview
Met with two “Regional Managers” who offered me an $11/base and a terrible commission plan. These guys were typical inside sales guys that were now being offered the chance to manage their own team. I was unimpressed with both of them. I wouldn’t have hired either of them if I was building my own sales team.

Question 1
They asked me if I was comfortable selling their solar panels even if it would actually increase the customers’ monthly energy expenses.

Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter and they scheduled an interview with the area manager.
The interview didn't get too far since I did not live close to any of the retail locations they were hiring for. They have a policy that does not allow them to hire someone who would have to travel or move to work for them. So one I told them where I lived the interview was over.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SolarCity (Roseville, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
2 interviews with HR they were both pleasant. Final interview with Sales Director he flaked on 2 set appointments without notifying me. Seem really put out that he had to conduct the interview on the 3rd appointment he finally showed up for. His behavior was similar to an aggravated spoiled 12 yr old girl. Did not want to work for someone so unprofessional declined offer.
