I applied online. I interviewed at SpaceX in May 2026
Interview
Phone interview with Director of Recruiting, who was extremely impersonal with 0 effort to build rapport - obviously he had made his decision from the start. He spent 20 minutes grilling me on sourcing and negotiation techniques, with 0 effort to sell the organization. He said he needed to confirm with his “clients” before moving to the next round, and then almost immediately sent the email rejection notice. The recruiting organization is very much an old boys club and it shows/

Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Three rounds total. The SpaceX interview process is rigorous, involving multiple stages: initial screening, technical interviews, problem-solving assessments, and panel interviews, all designed to evaluate technical expertise, innovation, and cultural fit.

Interview
Was asked to submit a document with 3-5 of the biggest accomplishments you’ve contributed to. Seems odd considering you can ask via interview vs write an essay. Interview loops consisted of a 2:1 interviewer to candidate ratio. Slightly intimidating/uncomfortable
