I had my initial phone screening with the recruiter, then a video call with the hiring manager, and finally a panel of 4 thirty minute video calls with various people in the organization.
I received excellent feedback at each stage and was hopeful I'd get an offer. But then... ghosted.
After a week of not hearing anything I reached out to the recruiter.. by email, phone and linkedin. Never got a response from her.
Next, I contacted the hiring manager and asked for some information. He said he'd figure it out and get back to me in a couple days. Despite me messaging him again, he also ghosted me.
The fact that this happens in a professional organization is totally disrespectful. Candidates spend a lot of time preparing and researching for interviews, as well as arranging their schedules to set up time to have all these calls. The least a company can do is have the decency to reply and let the candidate know they were not accepted.
It really is a red flag that a company believes this is an acceptable way to treat people and I now know this is not a good place to work for.
