I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Philadelphia, PA) in Jun 2013
Interview
Sit down process lasting about 30 minutes when the manager is available. Pretty standard questions. When applying, you could pick up to five locations you wanted to work at, after 30 days, it opens up to all the stores in the district. After applying, physically go to the stores and ask if the manager is there, I got a brief interview on the spot and was asked to come back for a more formal one.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
